'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Beware the Spanish Marksman!

Last season they`d have carted you away to a lunatic asylum if you`d have dared to suggest that Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney wouldn`t be knocking goals in for fun this season.

Strangely, both players have suffered a dip in form and both struggled in the recent World Cup in South Africa.

Now whilst we all hope that Wayne hits top form pretty soon, there`s always the danger that Torres could do the same this afternoon. The Spanish striker has a knack of scoring against us and the United legend, Lou Macari, has spoken in a leading Sunday tabloid about the situation Torres find s himself in, remarking,

"Everyone has been slaughtering Torres this season, but the loss of form he`s enduring can happen to anyone especially centre-forwards."

"So much of a striker`s game is based on confidence and instinct."

"When a striker`s not scoring his overall form can dip very quickly and he looks as if he`s really struggling."

"Torres is facing the biggest test of his career in putting his form back together again. Given the success he`s enjoyed with Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Spain I don`t think he`ll have gone through this before, it`s a real test."

Hopefully Nemanja Vidic can add to Torres` woes by keeping him in his back pocket!

Wouldn`t that be just great!

Success? Is that what you call it. A great forward and undoubtedly one of the, if not the, most deadly finshers in the world. Would've loved for him to sign for us but oh well... Here's hoping his dip in form continues (until after this game anyway).
