United - Nani To Step Up!

United - Nani To Step Up!

The injury to Antonio Valencia has cut down Sir Alex Ferguson`s wide options.

With Valencia unavailable, Sir Alex only has Giggs and Nani to rely on for an injection of width on the pitch.

Giggs, now in the twilight stages of his career, isn`t expected to play in every game so it may well be left to Nani to step up to the plate and deliver the goods on a regular basis.

Nani, now 23, is looking forward to that prospect and also helping United to glory this season, when he remarks in the media this morning,

"Now I`m a bit older, I`m more experienced and have more confidence."

"This season is my fourth at the club and it really fells like home now."

"I feel sharp, strong and I hope I can help the team enjoy many great moments this season."

Let`s hope Nani stays injury free or else it could be a long wait for the January transfer window to open.

Well we've got Obertan who can operate on both sides, Park who can play wide on both sides, Rooney who didn't do too bad on the left either and then of course Nani who can play on both wings. Valencia will be a massive miss but its not the end of the world ... yet.
