United - A Candidate for Fan of the Week!
If we were up for running a fan of the week competition then the following chap would be a likely candidate.
Edward Bowkett, a 61 year old lifelong red, who lives in Peasedown St John in Somerset, flipped his lid when he found out the council were in the process of painting the houses in his street sky blue.
Being a staunch United fan, he objected to having the façade of his house painted in the colours of our rivals and successfully harassed the council into painting his white.
Talking to the media about the prospect of living in a sky blue house, Edward told the media,
"I didn`t want to walk in my house every day and see the colour of City`s strip. It`s an awful colour that looks as if it belongs on a Smurf!"
Congratulations Edward on going against the flow and sticking to your principles!
