United - Rooney`s Everton Reception Awaits!

Playing in Basel is going to seem like a picnic in the park compared to what faces Wayne Rooney at Goodison Park this weekend.

With his domestic strife still dominating the tabloid front pages, there`s absolutely no doubt that the good folk of Goodison Park will give their former hero a reception like no other.

Hopefully, everything will remain civil as the local constabulary have already indicated they are not prepare dot up the ante any more when it comes to policing the match.

The affair, whilst also returning Rooney to the club where he forged an early reputation will also pit him against a centre back, Phil Jagielka, who has grasped his England opportunity with both hands and could be set for a long run in the national side.

There`s every chance that Jagielka will be handed the task of keeping Rooney quiet and when the media approached Jagielka about Rooney receiving a slightly warmer than normal reception, he remarked,

"There`s a good chance. He normally gets quite a bit of stick anyway. I can`t see that changing."

"I am sure Wayne can deal with it He is a tough lad and he will le this football do the talking."

Here at Vital Manchester United, we reckon the first twenty or so minutes, once the action commences, could be something to behold, all it needs now is for Rooney to get an early goal to silence them all!
