United - Fletcher Eventually Gets His Win!

United - Fletcher Eventually Gets His Win!

Darren Fletcher`s 50th appearance, for Scotland, last night, didn`t quite turn out as the midfielder would have wanted.

Sure he got the win he craved for but in very trying circumstances.

Before the game, and following on from their disappointing result in the first group game, Darren had stated that it was essential for Scotland to take three points against the minnows of their group, Lichtenstein.

Therefore it must have come as a bit of a shock when the visitors to Hampden Park, took the lead straight after half time when Frick scored.

Under the cosh Scotland equalized through Miller before their blushes, and those of Darren Fletcher, were spared when McManus grabbed a dramatic winner in the 7th minute of injury time!

Heart stopping viewing for those supporting either team but first class entertainment for the neutrals!
