United - Edwin Hitting the Target!

He may be forty years of age but our Dutch keeper, Edwin van der Sar, still has high hopes of staying at Old Trafford for another season.

The keeper, signed from Fulham, has been an extraordinary servant between the sticks and although many expected him to bow out at the end of the season it`s now claimed that he`s keen to activate a clause in his contract that will see him play on.

Apparently, if Edwin plays 30 games this season it activates a clause in his contract whereby he is guaranteed another season. Therefore, with the form Edwin is currently displaying do not be surprised if the grand old man of our side is still doing the business this time next year!

A great keeper but I really do think after this season we should be looking more into our future keeper.
TheFamousNo7
just get him a zimmer frame and he'll be fine!
Al Billy
careful- just cos you sold him to us - although I do think we need a decent replacement lined up very soon!
Red Boy
You'll just hope the Alzheimers holds off in time for you to scout a cheap replacement.
