United - New Playmaker Identified!

United - New Playmaker Identified!

This summer we were linked with possible moves for Mesut Ozil and Rafael Van der Vaart.

Eventually, any apparent interest came to nothing with Ozil and Van der Vaart going elsewhere to continue their careers.

But, according to one leading Sunday tabloid, Sir Alex Ferguson is well down the path when it comes to identifying, and securing, the services of our next influential playmaker.

The person the tabloid has as our next big thing is the young Greek player, Sotiris Ninis.

At twenty years of age the youngster has started to carve out something of a reputation playing for Panathinaikos and the tabloid reckons we`re about to trigger the £8 million clause in his contract that will see him move to Old Trafford next summer.

One to keep an eye on this season then we`d suggest.

I reckon Wayne Ronney could be the next playmaker you're looking for - according to the tabloids he's very adept at playing away from home.

I believe it is unbelievable that Man. Utd are once again "Rumoured" to be interested in a number of Spurs players. This time we hear "Old Red Nose" has been quoted as liking the look of Bale and Modric again, old stories. Also that Van der Vaart was "Allowed" to join Spurs like Berbatov was, with a view to a move to Man. Utd if the player is able to cope with the Premier League. When is this situation going to stop? Man. Utd seem to be linked on a regular basis with Spurs players never Villa, Liverpool, Everton or Man. City players, Why is this? What does please most Spurs supporters is that Levy the Spurs chairman said it would be sometime before he dealt with Man. Utd again and I hope he keeps to that.

Next time we buy a Tottenham player we should add a few boxes of tissues into the deal so the Spurs fans can whipe the tears from their eyes when their players move onto bigger and better things. Seriously are you guys still throwing a paddy about that!?

OX - well, City and Liverpool players are automatically ruled out, as the clubs can't stand each other. Add to that the fact that Liverpool currently don't have that many good players thanks to the FSW buying every piece of dross in Europe, and City didn't exactly have that many good players until recently, and that rules that one out. But I wil tell you one thing - quite a few journos are united fans, and they work in London - Spurs love to give it large to other fans, so suspect the journos are just giving some of it back - in spades! LOL

fifthcolumnblue, Thanks for your post, I realise that all you read in newspapers and web sites are not always true, but it is disappointing to read that "Old Red Nose" is making overtones to Spurs best players. The Bale story now seems to be Real Madrid have shown an interest and not Man. Utd, but I do not want Spurs to be Man. Utd's feeder club!!!

Dont worry Ox Yid as much as I hate to admit we're Real Madrids feeder club, its just the food chain.
