United in Rodwell Swoop?

Could Manchester United be about to launch an audacious raid?

One leading tabloid certainly thinks so!

It goes on about United making a swoop for Jack Rodwell naming the Everton youngster as the new Rio Ferdinand.

Ignoring the fact that the youngster recently signed a new Everton contract and suggesting he`s available for a knockdown £10 million and throwing in out of favour Michael Carrick as well, the tabloid goes on about United dithering slightly about deciding to make a bid now or wait another year.

As the transfer deadline approaches we can`t help believing this is nothing more than a column inch filler-piece with not much chance at all of anything actually happening!

No chance of this. For one we don't need Carrick, we have a ridiculous amount of central players as it is and no wide players. And Rodwell just signed a 5 year deal, we're not going to turn around and sell him a month later

Left it a bit late to grab a player Everton don't want to get rid of aren't you?

Its looking very likely that we will sign Rodwell, he has just one year left on his contract and isn't happy at Everton we can grab him in a deal where Everton pays us 10 mil rather than us pay them. In other news, Mars spontaniously explouded and pigs CAN fly.
