United - Nani On Getting Back to Winning Ways!

United - Nani On Getting Back to Winning Ways!

After missing that penalty at Craven Cottage last time out and feeling the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson for taking the kick instead of Ryan Giggs, Nani appears to be still in favour.

On Saturday, against West Ham United, Nani scored that crucial goal that ended West Ham`s resistance and, in hindsight, could have had two more.

After the game, Nani spoke to the media and spoke about filling the boots of a fellow Portuguese player and touched on his ambitions for this term, remarking,

"Ronaldo was an important player to us but now my chance has come. It`s time for United to put their trust in me."

"I`m happier this week. After drawing at Fulham, we wanted to focus on winning because Chelsea and the other teams are doing so well."

"I am working very hard every day and looking forward to scoring goals to win games. I hope every game is like this for me."

"But I want to push on and that is why I am working so hard. I have been looking forward to this season and hope I can be important for the team and win the league."

If Nani can add consistency to his game he could well be one of the defining players in our title challenge this season.
