United - Fergie`s Views on the West Ham Result!

United - Fergie`s Views on the West Ham Result!

Following on from the 3-0 win over West Ham United, Sir Alex Ferguson gave his thoughts on the victory to the media.

Foremost in his thoughts was the fact that Wayne Rooney, after such a barren run, had finally got back on the score sheet with Sir Alex crowing,

"Rooney`s goal stops all the negative headlines but it was his all round performance that stood out for me."

"His game was full of energy and he enjoyed his football. He had trained all week and looked much more like himself."

"I have said time and time again that strikers like him want to score and he got off the mark for this season with a good penalty. But it was his performance that`s what we should be talking about."

He also had a few words to say about the team as a whole, remarking,

"Maybe we could have scored more goals but it was a good team performance. The thing that pleased me most was that it was a collective effort."

But, having missed Match of the Day last night, did he break his self-imposed ban and talk to the BBC?

Nani could've easily had a hat-trick with a bit more of a lighter tough and a bit more luck.

Agreed. I was really impressed with Berba though, he seems to have finally figured out how to run.

Never would've thought put one leg in front of the other really fast would've been so hard to master.
