United - Sir Alex`s BBC Stance!

United - Sir Alex`s BBC Stance!

When does it become more than just proving a point and erring towards pure stubbornness?

It`s an intriguing question but one that Sir Alex Ferguson could well see himself being asked.

Sir Alex has had a reluctance to talk to the BBC ever since they ran a programme that questioned the integrity of his son, Jason.

Now we can truly understand the stance taken by Sir Alex, at the time, but matters are somewhat complicated now with the introduction a new ruling that Premier League managers must, if requested, conduct an interview with the BBC.

Sir Alex still flatly refuses and has, so far, (we believe) continued to send Mike Phelan out to face the cameras resulting in Sir Alex being issued with a fine of £1,000 for breaching this ruling.

The implications are that Sir Alex will continue to be fined on each and every time he repeats this gesture, possibly pushing matters to a dramatic showdown.

Now wouldn`t it be far better if Sir Alex just faced the cameras of the BBC and simply answered yes and no!

The BBC needs to mind its own business. This problem may also be solved if the BBC just said sorry. Like Fergie i would stand my ground also.
