United - Defour Bid Planned?

Steven Defour is a player that has been 'linked' to Man United for some time now. According to new 'reports' Sir Alex is now planning to make his move for the midfielder before the transfer deadline.

It is well documented that Fergie sent Defour a 'get well letter' when he suffered a serious foot injury last year, in which he wished him a speedy recovery - his recovery with Standard Liege has since been monitored.

Similarly to how he tracked Ruud van Nistelrooy in his comeback from a serious injury several years back, before he was eventually signed from PSV, time has been taken by Fergie and his staff to access the recovery period of Defour, which now means, if the recent reports from sky sports are accurate, that a move will be made for the Belgium international before next weeks deadline.

Do you think that the long-term reported target of Man United is finally about to sign, and would you want this?

A young and promising talent, would be a decent signing if we can get him for an amount that reflects his ability rather than his potential.

hard one to call this - let's wait and see!

We're supposedly not going to buy anymore players this transfer window. I have a feeling we'll have a big year next year when it comes to players signing. What with the likely retirement of Giggs, Scholes and Neville. If Defour does ever sign for us it will be next season.

don't see it happening!
