United - Obertan Not Joining Preston

Preston have already signed one Man United youngster on loan although Sir Alex's son Darren has dismissed talk that another, Gabriel Obertan, could be on his way to Deepdale.

Obertan was spotted at Preston's match with Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon and this 'sparked rumours' that the winger could join Preston on loan, although Ferguson Jnr, as he told The Lancashire Evening Post, has not spoken to his old man about him and doesn't think he would be available anyway: 'That's one we've not even spoken about.

'He's in their first-team squad, there's no chance.'

The 21-year-old hasn't featured so far this season, so might not be as advanced in Sir Alex's thoughts as Darren thinks. Obertan was 'said' to merely be at Deepdale on the invitation of a friend, who was playing for Portsmouth anyway, as he was in the Portsmouth end.

Josh King, who is on a 3-month loan with Preston, scored the winner in a 1-0 win although he is unsure if this initial loan would be extended or not yet, he just wants to continue enjoying things for the time being though.

Do you think that Gabriel Obertan is going to be part of Sir Alex's plans this season, so would going out on loan actually be a good thing?

Hope he does stay but at the same time a bit first-team football would be bad.

Preston - how demoralising would that be for the lad?
Red Boy
We dont really have a large abundance of wingers in our squad. So him staying here for the season is probably better for us.

I liked him last year... not United standard but could work well with a mid table team!
