United - Possebon Set for Santos

After joining United in January 2008 Rodrigo has struggled to find opportunities in the first team.

He saw a bright start hampered by a confidence shattering leg injury against Blackburn later on that year and has failed to find the same form.

He is set to return to his homeland and sign for Brazilian giants Santos later on this week.

A story on the Santos website spoke of a four-year deal and the player, Brazilian born but an Italy U20 international, is quoted as saying:

'It is a unique opportunity and I will work hard to give my best here. I hope to play a lot of football.'

A great shame as we saw a lot of potential from the lad in the beginning, just another name to add to the list of those who fail to make the cut at United.

We wish him very well in the future.

Poor sod i just hope the same doesn't happen to Ramsey at Arsenal. Good luck for the future Possebon.

How unfortunate I really rated him before Pogatetz *****ed him up. I hope he ends up making it somewhere.
