United - Ferdinand Out All September!

That Emile Heskey has a lot to answer for!

One innocuous fall not only put Rio Ferdinand out of the World Cup, it`s confined him to a spell on the sidelines, at Old Trafford, until the end of September it was today revealed.

Hopes of an early return for Rio were dashed when Sir Alex broke the news at a press conference remarking,

"It was a medial ligament problem rather than a cruciate, so the recovery time is exactly what we thought."

Hang on! Didn`t I once read that Sir Alex expected to have him available for selection for the Everton fixture on September 12th?

I think we would be better off just saying "he will back sometime this season". Time for Evans to step up to.
