'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United`s Artful Codger!

There are many of us that sincerely hope that Dimitar Berbatov has finally settled into a niche whereby he can fully justify the enormous outlay made by Manchester United when he was signed from Spurs.

His contributions thus far, in both pre-season, the Community Shield and the season opener against Newcastle, would suggest that the Bulgarian could well be set for a season that is far more productive than any others at Old Trafford.

The manner in which he took the third goal, at Wembley, with that sublime chip over Hilario in the Chelsea goal, illustrated perfectly the skill Dimitar has and trawling the tabloid press this morning is it a coincidence that I stumbled across the following quote from the man himself,

"Football is like art and my aim is to create beautiful things on the pitch to help the team be successful."

Well that chip was beautiful; it was art and if Dimitar can continue to showcase such skills then this season could well be remembered as an artful one!

Isn't there a typo in that headline? Should read "Artful Todger" surely? ;)

He really is a great player and everyone that watches United play every week can tell you as much. He just needs to run more!
