'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - One Sentence Is All It Takes!

Having missed out on an apparent bargain, price -wise, in the German international Mesut Ozil, rumours are in circulation that his arrival at Real Madrid could see another established international star exiting the Bernabou.

Jose Mourinho, having signed several stars already this summer is perfectly aware that there will be many within the Real Madrid camp that are a little disgruntled having realised their first team chances have dwindled.

One such player is the Dutch international Rafael van der Vaart.

Now whether Manchester United are seriously interested in taking one of Real Madrid`s cast-offs we`re uncertain, but a single remark, attributed to Rafael van der Vaart, has been enough to send the media into overdrive on this one.

Speaking about a possible exit from the Bernabou, Van der Vaart has remarked,

"If you are leaving Real Madrid, there is only one club that is not a step down - and that`s Manchester United."

See what I mean about one remark setting the press into overdrive mode!

A great quote though. Take note every team in the world. I like Van Der Vaart and wouldn't mind seeing him in a United kit especially if we practically stole him for 10-or-so mil.

I really hope management take a real good look at him. We really shouldn't miss out like last season with Sneijder or Robben, who both went on to have phenomenal seasons.
