'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Fergie on Chelsea!

Being the last of the so-called big teams to start their Premier League campaigns has its advantages and also its disadvantages.

On the advantage side it gave us the opportunity to sit back and study what our closest rivals had to offer, a chance to assess what their performances meant and the realization that we knew, last night, what we had to do.

On the disadvantage side, it also meant that having watched Chelsea knock in 6 goals on Saturday, we were under a little bit of pressure to eat into their early decent goal difference record, a fact Sir Alex Ferguson touched on when presented with a question relating to the subject by the media hordes yesterday,

"I was asked if Chelsea`s six goals put us under pressure."

"At this time of the season the answer`s no, but we`re still pleased we won 3-0."

"You never know, goals could come into it at the end of the season. Last term Chelsea won a landslide as far as goals were concerned, we`re conscious of that."

Surely Chelsea won`t smash through the b>100 mark in the Premier League again will they?

Why not?

yes we will. probably hit the 100 point mark while we are at it too...

Even at this stage I wouldn't rule out a two horse race here. Us and you boys. Are we capable of hitting 100+ this season? I think so. But then you boys are easily capable of hitting some big numbers yourselves. The head-to-head games are going to be crucial, and might I say good luck and here's hoping to some great competition. I don't know about the other Chelsea fans. but if we had to come runners up this year then I'd pick Man Utd to win it!

maybe... God Willing. btw congrats on the win. Scholes was amazing and Berba was good too. Sad that newcastle were so negative

I think the Premier League will be between Chelsea and Man United again. Arsenal clearly aren't good enough. Man City may need a couple of season more to gel as a team and Liverpool and the rest don't have enough squad depth to cope against us. Up The Chels

Damn scholes & giggs never give up!

Assuming the goalscoring doesn't soley come from Rooney we could hit the 100 mark too. Though I suspect if we did break it Chelsea would've done it also.
