United - Us or Chelsea!

Let`s not kid ourselves that Manchester City are going to gatecrash this Premier League title race of ours.

Don`t kid yourselves that their inept performance was down to a struggle for their new players to bond, instead read the wise words of Michael Owen who reckons the title race will be a straight shoot-out between ourselves and Chelsea when he`s quoted as having remarked,

"I see United and Chelsea as the two teams to aim at."

"Between us we`ve won it over the last half dozen years and it would take a very good team to have a very good season to finish above us"

"Every season you look for new challengers, to see who can emerge from the pack."

"But Chelsea have to be the benchmark. They won the league last year and they`re the champions. If anyone finishes above them, they`ll win the league. I can`t imagine anyone finishing above Chelsea and ourselves."

So the challenge has been laid down has it not?

Yes Mr Owen states the obvious, and i'm glad he does. A bit of reality to the rest of the league does them good. Dreamers stop dreaming, its gonna be the same old story.

Its quite obvious. City were lucky (especially the 1st half) to escape a thrashing from Spurs. Arsenal just looked Arseanal without fabregas. So it will be us (Chelsea) and Utd for the top spot. City, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will fight out for the remaining 2 spot.

Well Chelsea are the team to beat for everyone this year, hopefully it would mean the other teams put in an amazing performance every game against them.

thought that might drag you over here :-)
Red Boy
Glad to see you're trying to drag City fans over. Getting lonely or something? To be fair, this site has picked up a bit since last year, and the likes of Famous, Khoder et al are trying their best, but Vital rag is still a bit on the quiet side
