United - Rooney Fitness Fight!

It`s being claimed that Wayne Rooney is a fitness doubt for our opening Premier League fixture against Newcastle United.

Apparently our number one striker picked up a hamstring injury playing for England in the friendly international against Hungary in midweek.

Rooney is, it is reported, having intensive treatment to try and make the starting eleven against Newcastle, let`s hope he makes it!

I guess that means we'll be seeing Hernandez/Owen and Berba start this week.

hamstring injury? This early in the season? Could be a sign of things to come, as Rooney hasn't looked fully fit since fergie rushed him back from his ankle injury last season. I suppose you have more cover this year to make up for any time rooney spends on the treatment table, but as your most potent player you can ill afford to lose him for any length of time.

Too many fags and too much booze if nyou ask me. He is clearly a spent force like United the 2nd team in Manchester.

Correction Willy - they haven't been in Manchester for 100 years!

After watching Hernandez - I actually dont care if Rooney is fit or not. Berba in the hole with hernandez leading the line will be a massive threat to any defence in this league - dont think we need to worry about rushing rooney back - especially for newcastle.

OK the second team in Greater Manchester and surrounding districts - doesn't hide the obvious fact that United are on the decline as any idiot can see.

Hernandez is more than capable and is in really good form ( or who knows maybe he is so good that his recent performances are him on an average day).

You gotta love the optimism by these city fans , ( Wolves fan here ) , We allllllllll know its between Chelsea n United again , You city fans just dont get it , Man united and Chelsea already have proven WINNING TEAMS , not just names on paper like you lot , United , I've always thought Berbatov would come good aand after last nights showing he will , Rooneys the worry for me and I never thought I would say that lol , Just looks short of confidence for the first time i can remember !!!
