United - Welbeck is a Done Deal!

United - Welbeck is a Done Deal!

It was probably the worst kept secret in football that Danny Welbeck (19) was heading off to Sunderland.

Toda though the deal has finally been done with Welbeck joining Sunderland on a season long loan deal, prompting Steve Bruce to remark,

"He`s a young man but he`ll fit into our squad fantastically well."

Last season Welbeck featured in the Carling Cup Final win for Manchester United before going out on loan to Preston North End. Sadly that loan spell ended prematurely after Welbeck injured his knee having got off to a great start wit two goals in his first three games.

We hope he has better lick this time around and we wish him well!

With Kenwyne Jones gone and his only real competition for a forward position being Bent and Campbell his got a real good chance to develop and improve his game.
