United - Ozil Dream Fading?

Rumours continue to circulate that we`re still involved in the race to sign the Turkish-born, German international, Mesut Ozil.

Werder Bremen are reluctant to sell but may be forced to knowing they could lose the player on a free transfer next summer.

But the Catalan giants of Barcelona appear to have first option on the player and some news sources are claiming a deal is almost done.

Indeed, if the player is prepared to listen to the overtures of his national manager, Joachim Loew, then we`ve little chance of seeing him in a United shirt with Loew quoted as having remarked t Ozil,

"You have to remember that playing for Barcelona is very special for a player."

And playing for United isn`t?

Ozil said himself the Premier League and Man U or Chelsea would be his first choices so I therefore believe we haven't put a bid in but Fergie did show interest but must've saw something he didn't like when watching him at Fulham.

Neither did chelsea so its a question of no one willing to bite except the spanish giants.

Maybe it was just a good world cup.

if Ozil goes to barcelona he will be all the matches in the bench!! i hope he is gonna be a man united
melissjes
we all know wat happen to benzema and huntlear wen they ditched United n joined Spanish club. I hope Ozil dont make those mistake
Riswan
Yeah riswan, they gott found out as not being good enough - would have thought united fans would be breathing a sigh of relief that they missed out. Don't understand why fans of several clubs continually bang on about Huntelaar, he is bobbins, and Benzema has a few question marks hanging over his head too (not least the fact that he could be going to jail for sex with an underage prostitute!). If Ozil is good enough he will thrive at Barca, if not then tough luck.

You can't afford him even at knock down rates - you are broke and now Manchesters second team.
