United - Van der Sar on Fergie and More!

United - Van der Sar on Fergie and More!

Some might pint out that the foundation for our victory on Sunday was laid when Edwin Van Der Sar leapt to keep out that goal bound header from Branislav Ivanovic.

Our Dutch keeper, although advancing in years, is looking as good as ever and any thoughts of retirement should be put on hold for at least another season or two.

Following the capture of the Community Shield, Edwin gave an interview whereby he covered parts of a motivational speech given to the team in the Wembley dressing room prior to going into battle against the current Premier League title holders and FA Cup winners as well as a few of his own thoughts,.

Take it away Edwin,

"Before the Chelsea game, the manager gave a little team talk."

"He said 'I`m glad to be able to still do this, to work with young guys - that`s what keeps me motivated." It`s the same for the players. We all feel United is a special place."

"The game against Chelsea was the last one of pre-season, so it was important to get more playing time under our belts."

"You always want to win against your big rivals. Hopefully that`s something we can use to get off to a good start this season and try to win the title back."

Let`s not talk too much about titles, let`s just get the points on the board early on and see where it leads us to right!

Van Der Sar on Fergie? Sounds like a porn site (and a pretty damned scary one at that!) ;-)

porn - don't your Italian boss know about that sort of thing considering where he's from!
