United - Smalling Looks Ambitiously Ahead!

At Wembley on Sunday I was a little disappointed that our new signing, from Fulham, Chris Smalling didn`t start.

I thought it`d be the perfect opportunity to see the youngster in action, in a competitive match, to be able to gauge what he`ll be able to contribute to our side after his big money move.

Chris may not have started in that match but I`ve no doubt he has a future at United and tonight he continues his football education playing for the England U21 side against Uzbekistan.

The youngster certainly isn`t lacking in the confidence department and beforehand has spoken about how he perceives he could soon be looking at appearing in the full England side, remarking,

"If I can do well and get games for United there`s a chance in the longer term of getting into the England squad."

There is Chris but one step at a time please; you`ve some serious competition ahead of you for central defensive spots in the shape of Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans and O`Shea!

No doubt about him getting into England squad in the near future. That is definitely Rio's replacement.

He's looked pretty good whenever he's played for us and he can only get better learning from Vidic, Ferdinand and Brown.

No doubt he will be in the England squad espicially if he is learning off of some of the best (Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Neville).
TheFamousNo7
I'd rather he concentrated on United first!
