Giggs - United Made Chelsea Look Ordinary!

Ryan Giggs may have only played a cameo role in our Community Shield victory over Chelse abut from the bench he was able to make what he feels to be a fair assessment of proceddings.

Giggs, who could well be entering the final season of a glittering Manchester United career, remarked about the performance,

"I felt we controlled the game."

"Chelsea are a good team and at times we made them look ordinary."

"It is always nice to win in this manner and that is what we will take out of it."

"The aim of pre-season is to get through with no injuries but obviously to win games as well."

"We are confident and our pre-season has gone well and we topped it off with a good show."

The secret now being to move into the Premier League fixture list with the same powerful display, if we do we could well regain our Premier League crown!

I'm a Chelsea fan, and I have to say, we made ourselves look ordinary in the first half. But even the most die hard of United fans will have to admit that we played the better in the second, just lacked majorly in the final ball, which inturn resulted in not many chances. Even the commentator said we were better in the second, but toothless upfront - fair to say isn't it? Certainly doesn't help when you've got a player like Kalou playing! Well done though, you beat us this time. Season starts now though really.

No point even acknowledging this article... Everyone knows Chelsea are a better team!

Everyone knew Barca were the better team in Champions League Semi but Inter own..

Chelsea only started playing well after we made huge chages at the back (mainly Evans at LB) we totally dominated chelsea before those changes
Reddevils4ever89
Dear Reddevils4ever89, I would not say you dominated...you played better and won. No doubt about it. With better finishing from Kalou and Sturridge it could well have been a different result. Saying that I have to agree Manu look be in better shape at the moment. We need some time get completely fit. On paper we are still strongest. But there is a difference being strong on paper and being strong on field. Only time will tell. Hard to call this season.

Throwing fuel on the fire. Lets be careful not to write their pre-match team talk for the next game. Commend them on a good effort and move on and focus on the next game.

the point about the pre-match talk is a valid one!
