United - The Carrick Apology!

What is it with miraculous recoveries these days?

Yesterday, our opponents fielded a second half substitute, in Didier Drogba, who only went under the surgeons knife for a hernia operation less than ten days whilst United totally contradicted news that was leaked out about Carrick being unavailable, due to an ankle injury, for two weeks.

Carrick actually made the starting eleven yesterday prompting Sir Alex to offer the following aplology,

"I can only apologize to people."

"On Friday I was certain he was out for two weeks. He came in yesterday, said he was fit and wanted to train, trained and played."

"The minute he said he wanted to play we had to play him, simply because he needs game time."

I don`t know who was more surprised, the United support of Fabio Capello who was at the match and who hadn`t even considered him for selection for the squad for the Hungary game because he was led to believe he was injured!
