'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Ferguson Ready for Title Tilt!

Following the demolition of Chelsea at Wembley yesterday, Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping that the result will provide a springboard for a Premier League title assault.

Despite having been beaten so comprehensively, I`d surmise that Chelsea will still be our main rivals for the Premier League title, especially when, like us they get their World Cup players back into match shape.

Speaking after the Community Shield win, Sir Alex had this to say about the forthcoming title challenge and also the Community Shield win,

"I`m happy with this squad. If I keep everyone shipshape and fit then we have a really good chance."

"My players are hungry, I think you`ve seen that today. Some of our football was very good at times, we created chances and we deserved to win."

"The foundation of the team is the experienced players like Vidic, Scholes and Giggs and they can help the rest."

"When you don`t win the title, you must do it next year. That`s the great thing about football, you`ve always got the next year."

Some might say that this year could be a crucial year with it being the last chance for several of our 'golden oldies` to get their hands on another Premier League winners medal!

I've got a good feeling about this year. Once again many will foolishly rule us out and we will be up there slugging it out with the title challengers.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha demolition. we had more shots in total more shots on target more of the ball. you were the luckier of the sides and although we only played at about 30% of our potential a better keeper in goal and yous would have struggled. In all honesty i dont even see yous as our main threat as yous will most likely finish 3rd.
