United - Vidic Never Wanted to Leave!
It was one of those transfer possibilities that just seemed to rumble on and on!
Would Nemanja Vidic be leaving Manchester United or not?
The silence from the Serbian international was deafening but following the revelation that Vidic was to sign an extension to his contract we can all sit pretty, safe in the knowledge that unless something goes dramatically wrong the 28 year old is set to perform on the Old Trafford stage for quite awhile to come.
Vidic, who played his first game since the World Cup, in Ireland last night had this to say about the matter,
"I know there was all this speculation but I never said I wanted to go."
"I always said I am happy here."
But some would argue you never said, although you were happy, you were definitely staying either!
