United - Youngster Goes to Carlisle!

United - Youngster Goes to Carlisle!

One of our promising youngsters, James Chester, has gone out on loan.

Chester, now twenty-one years of age, has agreed to join Carlisle Unite don loan until December 31st 2010.

Previously Chester has spent spells on loan at Plymouth and also at Peterborough United.

Speaking about his latest acquisition the Carlisle manager, Greg Abbot, told the local BBC Radio station, Radio Cumbria,

"He`s a good defender, very mobile and very comfortable on the ball as well."

"He`s certainly got a calmness on the ball that will help us. We`re delighted to have him here."

Whereas Chester, who still has ambitions of breaking into the Manchester United first team remarked,

"While I`m under contract at Manchester United there is always that hope to be a first team player there."

"To get six months of regular League football at Carlisle then there might be other opportunities at the end of this."

As is usual in such circumstances, we`d like to wish James all the best during his loan spell.
