United - Rooney Shames Himself!

United - Rooney Shames Himself!

Sometimes I wonder what goes through players` minds!

After a pitiful World Cup the general feeling is that those involved are in for a hard time from opposition supporters, rumours abound that the attendance for the forthcoming friendly with Hungary isn`t what the FA would have hoped for and there is the fear that several are only going to vent their spleen about such a poor performance over in South Africa.

Therefore, you`d have thought those involved would be keen to keep a low profile as the new season approaches, if so then perhaps somebody forgot to tell Wayne Rooney.

Pictured in a leading tabloid today, Rooney is seen acting like a lout after partying until dawn, resplendent with fag in his hand and relieving himself up against a wall.

They are pictures that shame the superstar and pictures that Sir Alex Ferguson will vie wwith steam coming out of his ears.

Hopefully Sir Alex will have something far more than a quiet word in Wayne`s ear and tell him a few home truths!

I'm sorry but let's be honest, if Wayne was not a good footballer what would he be doing now and where would he be living? Short answer, working on a building site or unemployed and living in the rough part of Liverpool. Money does not buy class and the boy has no class. Remember his rant at the England fans who booed the rubbish display by the team in the World Cup.

Well, never thought I'd stand up for a rag player, but here goes - What is so differnet to what Rooney did to what the likes of Mcgrath and Robson did back in the day? These players would go out on the booze all night then turn up to play on Saturday afternoon with a hangover the size of a small country. The only difference between then and now is that they didn't have to deal with the "In your face" paparazzi that exist nowadays. So yeah, Wayne is a bit of a lad, he get's *****ed and enjoys a fag. So what? Everyone has done stuff like this, don't give me any bullocks about him being a role model, he's a young man from a working class background letting off some steam. The only problem is that he got caught and people will pillory him for it.

Back then it was acceptable for a footballer to behave in that manner, times have changed fcb.

Pathetic behavior from a footballer, what a surprise. I thought it was just The States that had a huge problem with sports stars feeling like the didn't have to follow the rules or pay taxes, or anything like that. Apparently it's all over the world, and we all buy into and pay for them to live like this. No matter who he played for, i'd be disgusted by it. To think, we idolize these players and hang on their every play, and what do they do to thank us? They ***** on a building, or sleep with their mates girlfriend. What a time to be a sports fan.
