United - Buy-Back Rumour?

Like most, I always tend to keep an eye on players that don`t make it at Old Trafford and are sold on.

The recent World Cup saw a certain Diego Forlan hit the headlines for all the right reasons, making us all ponder over whether we`d been wrong to let him go after his stuttering starts to a permanent career at Old Trafford.

Last week I noticed that a certain Guiseppe Rossi got on the score sheet when Villareal hammered Spurs 4-1, scoring a scintillating hat trick.

It would seem that feat has prompted the press to remind us all that when Rossi left Old Trafford there was, reportedly, a buy-back clause in his contract, a clause one media hack seems to believe might now be invoked.

If it were, as this one hack infers, we`d need to pay a fee in the region of £12 million for the twenty-three year old, in itself, makes me think this is nothing more than fantasy.

What`s your opinion?

Can't see it happening. With the young strikers we've been signing its highly unlikey Fergie would be a player who would expect a first team place above Fergie's beloved Berbatov.

You lot don't really get it, do you? - so let me try and spell it out in really simple terms - You are broke - meaning you have not got the money to spend on any players - but you cannot say that publically - so you say 'we will rely on the youth - we will rely on the old contingent ' etc etc -

just give up wswilly and head back onto chelseawannabe VF
TheFamousNo7
shall we ask wswilly3 to put his money where his gob is with a bet?
Red Boy
I can confirm I am not in debt, not paying huge interest rates and not having my money stolen each week by an American family ...... my worry with you is that you haven' any money to bet with.
Wswilly3
If that were really the price he would cost then he would be a great buy. However he really wouldnt fit anywhere in our team unless Berba is sold, and if he were bought it would only serve to hamper the development of our youngsters.

You don't need strikers, you need midfielders! Next rumour....

I always wonder why you let them go so early. If he was english I'd say get him but let it pass.
