'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Javier In Confident Mood

Javier Hernandez seems to be the name on most Man United fans' lips at the moment, and the Mexican is confident of being successful in England.

Hernandez, when talking to Major League Soccer's Spanish website, believes that unlike his countrymen Giovani Dos Santos and Carlos Vela, who have struggled on the whole to make impacts with Spurs and Arsenal respectively, he can be successful.

The priority for him is to enjoy this challenge ahead of him and if he does this he believes the rest will fall into place: 'I have spoken to them and they are definitely happy for me and they know that this is the most powerful league in the world. They tell me to take advantage of the situation and I should thank God for the opportunity.

'I always try to see pressure in a different way - more like motivation. There are millions of people in the world who would do anything to be in my position and have this opportunity.

'It's an honour because I want to achieve big things. It's a very nice challenge and hopefully I will be able to contribute.

'I will always try to enjoy it because sometimes we focus so much on the achievements and our dreams, and maybe we forget to enjoy it.'

Having the chance to play alongside some of his boyhood idols, such as Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, is something that the 22-year-old is delighted to do as well. Although he wants to be a team player he wants to add something special to the team himself and has moved to Old Trafford to win things: 'These are people I would watch on the television, that I would even play with them on PlayStation.

'I dreamed of one day being able to play with all of them and I'm going to try to learn from them the most I can. Besides wanting to do the best job I can, grow and learn plenty, I also want to add my little grain of sand because this is a team sport. I want to win a title. I want us to be a great team.'

Based on his performances at club level, even though the Mexican league is a lot different to English football, he should do well. His performances at the world cup also impressed though, so Man United fans will be looking for more of the same.

The player we need. He got fed scraps by Mexico but still managed to score with those scraps. Unfortunately our midfield is producing scraps of support (which will hopefully change with the introduction of our youth), so he should be a real life saver at times.

The same could've been said when we signed Ronaldo and Cantona Wswilly. Hey, I love what your lot are doing, signing very average players for loads.

Fergie has taken a big gamble on singing this player - if he does the business in the PL then you've signed a potential star. If he doesn't you'll have to rely on a knackered Rooney to carry you for another season. Unless of course Berbatov starts living up to his pricetag. Stop laughing, it could happen!

His goal against the MLS all-stars was jizz-worthy.

Some really nice goals in that friendly. Very reassuring about my thoughts of our youth. Chicharito made a very clever run and an performed an even smarter finish. Macheda showed a real predatory insinct when chasing the ball down. Gibson scored a very nice freekick. Cleverly's goal reminded me of Pele's goal in the World Cup final, very clever and was really quick on his feet.

Wswilly3 seems to deny the fact that you can actually buy good players for cheap if you know football very well. coz may be his team only believes on spending billions on those who can not even be compared to chicharito in goal scoring abilities. go get start with some good football books like football101. till then kyms.
