United - Vidic Happy With New Deal!

A pay increase works wonders!

After reporting yesterday that Manchester United were looking to tie Nemanja Vidic to Old Trafford for the next few years with a pay increase, it appears the ploy has worked.

Today the world of the media is happily reporting that Vidic has agreed to the new deal and will put pen to paper when he returns from his holiday.

Speaking about the deal the United Chief Executive, David Gill, has remarked,

"I am very pleased to confirm we agreed terms with Nemanja on a new long term deal."

"We`ve shaken hands on it and we`re confident it will be signed in early August. It`s great news."

I wonder if the same sentiments are being expressed over in Madrid!

Well it hasn't officially been signed yet, though it is looking very promising.
