United - Malaysia Fall-Out!

United - Malaysia Fall-Out!

There may be trouble ahead in a land where the government actually paid Manchester United £2 million in a sponsorship deal in 2006!

You see our shirt, but more specifically the badge with a demon holding a trident, has upset the Muslim clerics in Malaysia.

They`re upset to such an extent that they`ve banned Muslims from wearing the coveted shirt, decreeing it as "sinful" and "dangerous"

One person calling for it to be banned is the preacher Nooh Gadet who is quoted as having remarked,

"Even if the jersey is a gift, we should decline it. It is even more sinful when people realise this is wrong and buy these jerseys."

"These Muslims should repent."

Not sure what to make of all this, are you?

You could start selling replica kits with a little Malcolm Glazer replacing the devil - would satisfy the imams and I'm sure most of your UK based fans would spot the irony.

Very funny fcb. On a serious note the Glazer's will get hit hard if we don't sell abroad.
