United - Back on the Ozil Trail?

Despite Sir Alex, speaking from North America, having re-iterated that he`ll not be signing anyone else this summer, the tabloid press continues to link us with the big-names in the game.

Strangely enough it`s the same tabloid that informed us that there`d be no purchase this summer that then goes on to inform its readers that Manchester United could be joining the chase for the Werder Bremen wonder-kid, Mesut Ozil.

Rumours suggest that his contract talks with the German club have broken down and Werder Bremen are looking to sell rather than lose him on as free when his contract expires next summer.

Furthermore, the same tabloid implies that his price tag has been dropped form £20 million to £12 million to ensure a sale goes through.

Should Sir Alex abandon his pledge and snap this lad up or is it too good to be true and nothing but paper talk?

Paper talk. A good player but I can't see him wearing a United kit.

Its a nothing story really. Papers publish these articles because they sell well whenever a they claim a big team is in for a well known player.

According to a reasonably reputable website (if there is such a thing!) Ozil is in Spain at this very moment in time. Can't see him going to Barca though, it's nott like they need him! http://www.totalfootballmadness.com/2010/07/21/germany-star-mesut-ozil-sighted-in-barcelona/
