'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Top Target is the Premier League!

It would have provided the perfect climax to the careers of our older generation.

Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs would have been overjoyed to win a fourth consecutive title with Manchester United last season, thereby setting a record.

But it wasn`t to be and age will definitely prevent the trio from having another go at reaching that historic milestone.

Nevertheless, as they head into the twilight years of their careers there is the possibility that United could wrestle the Premier League trophy back from Chelsea and it`s great to read tha twinning the Premier League remains the top goal.

Speaking about just such, Ryan Giggs has gone on record as having remarked,

"There`s definitely that added hunger when you haven`t won the league the previous season."

"It`s difficult when you`re defending the title because you`re champions and everyone wants to beat you. But there`s also the determination when you don`t win it to get it back, which is what we want to do."

"It was strange last season. Everyone was getting beaten at the top and everyone was beating each other, so the obvious thing for us is to lose less games and try to be a bit more consistent.

"No matter what you`ve won, whether you`ve won the title the previous season or not, that same determination is always there in pre-season to win the Premier League, which is our priority. Anything else is a bonus, but having not won it last year we`re desperate to win it back."

Do you agree? Is the Premier League title the one we should be aiming for?

Definately, we can't do a Liverpool or Tottenham and aim for Europe then perform 5h1t in the league.
