Marseille Snub Utd Bid

Marseille Snub Utd Bid

According to reports from the continent, French winger Franck Ribery has been told his future is at Marseille ... not Manchester.

The 22-year-old is also wanted by Lyon, but United were said to have started the bidding at £10m.

Marseille chairman Pape Diouf: '(Lyon chairman) Jean-Michel Aulas wants to sign Franck Ribery.

'But we want him to play at least one more season with us. I told him (Aulas) that we wanted to keep him but I know he will keep on asking.

'Manchester United are also interested but they have shown much more courtesy and delicacy.

'Manchester United's representatives have told us they could be interested in the player but I gave them the same answer and told them he was not transferable.'

He looked a fantastic player in the last U21 tournament. Tricky as hell, like a young Giggs. He'd grace any english side.
