United - Scholes Would Have Made the Difference!

United - Scholes Would Have Made the Difference!

Fabio Capello appears to live a charmed life when it comes to surviving after a World Cup flop.

Most international managers who had a tournament on a par with his have already fallen onto their swords!

But, creeping out of the woodwork, Fabio still rattles off the odd quote or two that provides just enough sensory ammunition to make you think.

Today, a leading tabloid carries some quotes that give an indication he really did want Scholes in his 23 man World Cup party believing that he`d have made a real difference, when he a source close to him says,

"Fabio was desperately disappointed that he couldn`t coax Scholes out of retirement."

"He felt his presence would have given him other options, particularly with concerns over Gareth Barry`s fitness."

"Despite his age he is comfortable on the ball, very versatile and has a wealth of experience behind him. His inclusion would have allowed Capello to change his system."

So there you go Paul, it`s all your fault!
