'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - The Latest on Vidic!

The tabloid press has finally come up with some substance behind the continual rumours that Nemanja Vidic wants to leave Old Trafford.

It seems the Serbian international defender is a little aggrieved that the club haven`t offered him a new deal.

Apparently it is custom for the club to offer a player a new deal once they reach the stage where they`ve only got two years left on their current contracts.

Vidic has reached that stage and is miffed that he hasn`t been approached with the inference that there has been a policy change instigated by the Glazers (unless you`re name is Wayne Rooney).

Now to us that seems a little bit of a flimsy excuse, if Vidic wants to play for Real Madrid why doesn`t he just come out and say so instead of beating around the bush?

I really can't be asked with all this again if he wants to go i'd rather us just sell him for 30 mil and get it done with.

You'll get decent money for Vidic if he goes, but will the Glazers give the money to Taggart, or will it go straight into their back pockets? You can't keep an unhappy player, but it would certainly be a big blow to your team if he was to leave and not be replaced.
