United - Sir Alex on Positives and Negatives!

Preparing for our first game of our North American tour, Sir Alex has been facing the media.

With Glasgow Celtic our opposition on Friday, Sir Alex has been speaking about the effects the World Cup could have on his squad.

The Scot gave examples of those who will feel disappointed at how things turned out in South Africa and of one player who has every justification in feeling pleased with his contribution to the competition.

See what you think, when he starts with an assessment of Wayne Rooney before moving on,

"I don`t expect a hangover but there`ll still be disappointment in the lad."

"I think all the players coming back from the World Cup who didn`t do well, who didn`t reach their expectations may I say, will feel that they`ve missed something."

"That`s because the Word Cup`s only once every four years. That`s the horrible part of that tournament."

"We have several players who have come back very, very disappointed. We`ve Patrice Evra for instance, Wayne Rooney of course and Nemanja Vidic."

"I think one player who will come back quite positive because he had a good World Cup was young Javier Hernandez. I think he did very well and he surprised a lot of people."

"So whereas we`ve got some disappointments from players like Wayne, Nemanja and Patrice, I think we`re going to have a positive effect from Javier."

So does one positive outweigh three negatives?

Who am I to argue with the greatest manager our club has ever seen!

Well I can only imagine they will want to prove a point to their countries and show why they were picked to represent the country to hopefully redeem themselves.
