United - Newcastle Selection Problems (Already)

Sir Alex could be faced with a selection headache.

After promising to give those who played in the World Cup a full 28 days off to recover, United now face the prospect of maybe having to go back on his words.

Circumstances have conspired to leave us without the injured Owne Hargreaves, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Owen and Gary Neville. If you add to that the names of those on World Cup duty - Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Ji-Sung Park, then it can be seen our squad could be seriously depleted.

Talking about the situation and the possibility of having to revamp his thoughts, Sir Alex explained,

'After we've surveyed the fitness of the ones who've been in the World Cup - they don't come back until July 28 - we'll really know whether any or all of them should play in the opening game."

'I have a feeling that we'll probably not play them all, but maybe one or two will play.'

Anyone care to guess which ones WILL play against Newcastle?

Don't worry. Newcastle will lay down for another 5-0 drubbing.
