United - New Signings Impressing

Both Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez are already making names for themselves in the United dressing room.

With the camp back in pre-season training, the word from the boys is that things are looking good.

According to Darren Fletcher and Wes Brown; Smalling has already excelled in his first week in training and looks to have a bright future.

'Chris has been training for a few days and he's a big, strong, tall lad'

'I didn't realise how young he was until he told me, and I think he's got great potential for the future."

Whilst Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez won`t meet his new colleagues till the end of this month, his contribution to Mexico`s World Cup run have prompted excitement amongst his new teammates.

'Javier did very well at the World Cup, he played really well when he came on,'

'Hopefully now he and Chris can fit in nicely and be ready for the new season.'

This is all good stuff we like to hear with Chris Smalling`s up and down form last year and Hernandez`s unknown profile; making these signings small gambles from Sir Alex.

At the moment it looks like we`ll have to wait and see how they come up in competitive games.

Hernandez looks very promising.

Hernandez did look pretty good at the world cup, but don't forget, Kleberson was player of the tournament at the 2002 world cup. So it's still 50/50 whether or not he can do the business in the Premier League

You bought smalling soon after fulham played chelsea when he kept drog at bay for 80mins.So any defender who does well against drog immediately gets fergie's nod :)
