Sneijder to Turn United Down!

Hopes of luring the influential Dutch midfielder, Wesley Sneijder, to Old Trafford appear to be more forlorn by the day.

Sneijder, fast becoming one of the stars of South Africa 2010, was rumoured to be the subject of interest from Sir Alex Ferguson, a fact confirmed, we believe, by comments coming out of Italy.

It looks decidedly like Sneijder is willing to continue his medal accumulating exploits with the current Italian champions, Inter Milan, despite the change at the managerial helm, with Sneijder remarking,

"I have a very good feeling at Inter and I don't want to let them down after winning everything and losing Jose Mourinho"

"My goal is to be as successful this year with new coach Rafa Benitez."

Time to consider Plan B then Sir Alex!

He clearly recognises a debt ridden club on the wane.

Difficult to lure a player when he's just one the Champs League and a domestic double at his current club. Were you ever seriously interested? Taggart usually keeps his transfer targets pretty quiet, suspect your interest was "leaked" in order to alleviate the fears of those who suspect that the "no value" mantra will result in no new signings. I keep being told by reds that you don't need anyone, but are you so sure?

We never said we wanted the papers said we wanted them. We just discuss the impact the said player has on the team hardcore_spurs. Should've got Sneijder when he was leaving Madrid.
