United - Fletcher in Transition Suggestion!

Having sold Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez last summer, there are some out there who`d suggest that United didn`t sign adequate replacements to keep things rolling along.

There are some that would imply that it was a major reason behind United not taking a fourth successive title, leaving the door open for Chelsea to snatch what we believe to be rightfully ours.

Others might infer that we were due a season whereby we`d have ot take stock of things and regroup, what they tend to call a transitional season, Darren Fletcher is one who thinks along those lines and has remarked,

'Maybe last season we went through a period of transition, though you do not realise it at the time.'

'We lost some world-class players and other players came in."

'But we still managed to win the Carling Cup and stay in the league right until the end, while we were very unfortunate in the Champions League."

'We will learn from the things that went wrong in those games and go one step further next year.'

That remains to be seen and could depend on who Ferguson signs between now and the opening fixture!

The start of a new United team this season, perhaps the last of Fergies era. I can see more players being involved in this season than last.

"Chelsea to snatch what we believe to be rightfully ours." Nothing is rightfully yours, it has to be earned anually. It's this sort of arrogance that makes people despise your club and it's fans.

Yep - the fact that most of them don't come from Manchester and only chose to support the Rags so they could try and get some reflected glory ......... what shallow cretins.
