'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Pushing Rooney All The Way!

It was fun while it lasted, watching Wayne Rooney go on a goal scoring spree and enjoying his best return of his United career.

But with Wayne leading the way was there anyone even remotely close to equalling his scoring exploits?

If I recall right someone called own goals was high up our scoring list, so clearly there is a need for the other members of the squad to push on and get their fair share of the goal glory.

Speaking about the situation Darren Fletcher has commented,

'There was a lot of pressure on Wayne to score all the goals last season and he took that burden on.'

'But sometimes that does not happen. All strikers go through phases when they do not score goals and that is when it is important that everyone else steps up and does their bit."

'As a team we have to improve every season. I think we saw that Nani and Valencia improved last year, and they are young, so they will continue to get better."

'But even Scholes and Giggs are trying to improve, and so am I, and so are the rest of the team. We are hungry and we all want to improve.'

With Wayne likely to top the scoring charts, at Old Trafford, again next season, whom would you put your money on to come second this year?

How much did you pay for this Welsh lad OWEN GOALS?

Second hmm that's a tough one. Depends on the system we play, but i'm going to go for Berba i mean the law of averages surely means that after 2 disappointing seasons of not reaching the goals set for him he now is going to make up for it in one season. Wishful thinking maybe but he does need to prove to himself he is United quality and this is perhaps his last chance to do so.
