'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Evra`s Safe!

The French squad, having arrived home in disgrace must have been a concerned bunch.

After Nicolas Anelka was sent home, the players went on strike for a day with our own Patrice Evra being seen as the spokesperson for the squad.

The thought being that the French Football Federation might seek to make a clean sweep and start afresh when the new manager, an ex-player of ours Laurent Blanc, takes over.

But it seems that Evra, and the others, have little to fear with Blanc remarking,

"I followed events with great sadness - I was shocked. But those responsible for this reckless decision are numerous and it is not for me to decide on sanctions."

"I am not the bogeyman. If I consider they are the best players in their position, then I will select them."

And that is how it should be, let bygones be bygones!

There's a way of going about expressing your opinions a player rebellion however is not one of the smartest ways.
