United - We`re On the Telly Ma!

United - We`re On the Telly Ma!

But for some it isn`t good news!

It really is futile to pay any attention to the fixture list when it is first published.

As we`ve come to learn in the past the dates and kick-off times mean very little with the television companies still to pack their schedules with the games they wish to televise live.

Time and time again travel plans have been disrupted as a Saturday afternoon kick off gets moved to Sunday or even earlier on a Saturday and the opening fixture of the 2010/2011 season is no different.

With our opposition being known - Newcastle United - it was, considering our status, only a matter of time before the fixture was juggled and that has proven to be the case.

Instead of our campaign opening on Saturday 14th August, we now fund ourselves shoved along the calendar to play Newcastle on a Monday evening!

To Sky Sports it might mean the return of their much heralded Monday night football but to us who travel a fair distance to get to Old Trafford it means not getting hoe until the early hours of Tuesday morning - don`t you just it - NOT!
