'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Owen Still Has International Ambitions!

We`ll never know if Michael Owen would have made any difference to he awful display England put on in South Africa.

In fact I get the impression that it didn`t count one iota how well Owen played for Manchester United (when he was fit) because I never really got the impression that he formed any part of Fabio`s plans.

But, it`s still heartening to hear that Michael hasn`t given up on a possible return to the national stage and has remarked,

'I missed out (on the World Cup) through my injury. But I have definitely not retired from international football and I would go back if I was called up."

Unlike some players we could name!

if Capello leaves he still wouldn't get a chance!
Al Billy
a sad thing to say but probably correct!

Good news really means he will perform for the club. Al, you're most probably right but then again who would've thought Heskey would've made the England team!

Owen could have kept Rio company in the treatment room, but that's about all he can do nowadays.

Time never stands still. Owen for England is history like Joe Cole is also.
