'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Fabiano Expresses an Interest!

We`ve got another of those - please sign me pleas!

This time from a current star of the Brazilian team tipped to win South Africa 2010.

The Seville striker, Luis Fabiano, is quoted in the press this morning as having expressed a desire to join Manchester United.

The striker is refusing to extend his contract and is making favourable noises about a move to Old Trafford, reputedly remarking,

"Premier League football attracts me and the way United play football attracts me."

"You think about being Wayne Rooney`s strike partner and that is very attractive for any striker."

"I`ve made it clear I will not be signing a new contract with Seville."

"At 29, I now need to join a club where I can start challenging for the highest honours. The choice will come down to Manchester United or AC Milan."

Seville, according to the rumours, want £40 million, an extortionate fee we believe.

In our opinion Fabiano would be a good acquisition and he could work well with Rooney but at that price we`d suggest Sir Alex wouldn`t be interested, unless you beg to differ.

You lot can't afford him .... forget it.

Silly money. Great striker but if Villa is worth 34mill then Fabiano is around 30mill max. i don't want you to sign him but the cost of players these days is too much. one day citeh will win everything simply because they'll be the only ones able to afford the best player.s

Not a Fergie signing, I can't see it happening though it wouldn't hurt for someone to share Rooneys load. I wouldn't rate him at over 20 mil just because of his age.
TheFamousNo7
he's scored again tonight - that's another £3 million on the price tag!

At the end of the tournament his price tag will be around the 30 million mark, and with his age and being unproven in the EPL I feel this one a gamble too far for SAF. Remember the last striker we signed for 30 million who was in his late 20's and he was proven in the EPL!

Or we could wait a year and get him on a free.
