Could Manchester United be looking towards Portugal for a player to bolster our midfield?
Several internet sites suggest that Sir Alex is keen on the Porto player, Raul Meireles
Meireles has spent six years playing for Porto and at twenty-seven years of age is in his prime.
It`s suggested that Sir Alex sees him as the player to bring that something extra to the midfield, providing the valuation put on him by his club is agreeable to both parties.
A price of £12 million is quoted which, to us, appears to be the going rate for someone of his class.
Could Meireles be joining the long list of Portuguese stars that have worn the red of United?
